Vanguard and his team of young superheroes dive into the criminal underworld of Oklahoma City, investigating the Roustabout Boys, a gang with superhuman-like strength. As Vanguard uncovers disturbing links between the gang’s rise and techniques taught by his grandfather, Mr. Liberty, he is forced to confront his own past. With old enemies resurfacing and tensions mounting within the team, Vanguard must decide what it truly means to be a hero and how far he’s willing to go to protect those he loves in a city on the brink of chaos.
